The Safety Case Partnership has been established to help owners, investors and developers of Higher-Risk Buildings to navigate the complexities of the new Safety Case regime. Our specialist team can provide the expertise you need to ensure your organisation is fully compliant with this regime, and with all associated reporting requirements.
Having experienced the challenges of preparing, submitting and managing Safety Cases with the same Regulator in other major hazard industries, our team can support the Accountable Person with:
The preparation, submission and ongoing management of Safety Case and Safety Case Reporting under the Building Safety Act 2022
Strong Regulator relationship management expertise, specifically focussed in developing Safety Cases and Safety Case Reports acceptable to the Regulator
Sound technical and commercial knowledge of construction methodologies and Building Regulations deployed in risk analysis underlining the Safety Case
Following the Grenfell Tower disaster, new regulations have been introduced to ensure that such a disaster can never happen again. One important aspect of this is to require a detailed building safety risk assessment, called a Safety Case, for all in-scope buildings. This is similar to existing regulations that control major accidents at other high hazard facilities such as refineries, oil & gas production plants and nuclear power stations. The Health & Safety Executive has been appointed under the Building Safety Act 2022 as the Regulator for building safety.
